It is the time of the year for strawberries. When I was a child I loved strawberry cake best, so I have made many different versions of strawberry cake. But I think this new one is definitely one of the best. It is a Americas Testkitchen recipe. What could be wrong with three layers of buttery cake, strawberries and various configurations and plenty of cream?

You will fing this recipe in the May/June 2006 edition of "Cooks Illustrated" or the 2006 Yearbook of the Americas Testkitchen series. Once you read the recipe it is really easy to make.
