Halloween Town

In order to not have to deal with plates and forks this year the "cake" was made out of cupcakes in various sizes. We have Vanilla, Chocolate and Carrot Cupcakes with cream cheese or chocolate frosting. The trees, ghosts and tombstones are made from chocolate and you will easily recognize the ice cream cones.

Very Berry Cake

I know, you have seen it before. It is just like the Strawberries and Cream Cake minus one layer and in shape of a star. I made this cake for a late summer garden party and when it came out it did not last 3 minutes! I hope everyone was able to get a slice.

Pug Cake

My daughter's friend wanted a pug cake for her birthday. I had a lot of fun looking at many different pug pictures to come up with this one.

Pool Cake

Nothing says summer like a swimming pool and a pool party. I carved a pool in a three layer chocolate cake and filled it with blue jello. It took 10 children and 5 adults only 15 minutes to devour the entire cake.

Red Sox Cake

Hello Kitty Cat

One of my daughters friends had a kitty cat birthday party so I made little kitty cupcakes for the kids and a big round ball of yarn for the adults.

Baby Boy

Here is yet another of the babyshower cakes. We have a white cake with raspberry mouse filling.

Oldy but Goody

I always like making tie-dye Cakes. I never did this colour combination, so this was new. On the inside we have a white cake with lemon mouse filling. Congratulations to your Confirmation Angela!

Blackforest Cake

Here we see a Blackforest Cake made from a somewhat original recipe. It was a hit with the adults but the kids did not like it. There is hardly any sugar in it and the sour cherries were not exactly kid's tastes either. It is a surprising light cake, since the cake is made without fat and the frosting is just whipped cream with a little sugar and Kirsch liquor. I guess one would call it an acquired taste. Since we needed cake for 20 people I upped the recipe by 50% to make it bigger.

Princess Castle

I always wanted to build a big princess castle, so here it is. We have a 12" round on the bottom with a 9" hexagon and the "big" cupcake as the keep. The towers are ice cream cups and cones.

"Big" Cupcake

A friend gave me the big cupcake pan for my birthday. I started experimenting with a marble cake. I think this will be a great pan for pound cakes or sweet yeast cakes.

Choo-Choo-Train

This is my first train cake. Thanks to a friend who has the Nordic ware train pan it was not that difficult. The bottom is a chocolate sheet cake filled with strawberry filling. We have vanilla train "cupcakes" with all kind of candy decorations.

The Ultimate Cupcake

I always try to make special cupcakes. Now here is one for the books. It is a "Neapolitan Cupcake. We have a chocolate bottom, Vanilla in the middle and everything topped with a strawberry cream cheese frosting. Do I need to mention the cherry and sprinkles?
