Choo-Choo-Train

This is my first train cake. Thanks to a friend who has the Nordic ware train pan it was not that difficult. The bottom is a chocolate sheet cake filled with strawberry filling. We have vanilla train "cupcakes" with all kind of candy decorations.

The Ultimate Cupcake

I always try to make special cupcakes. Now here is one for the books. It is a "Neapolitan Cupcake. We have a chocolate bottom, Vanilla in the middle and everything topped with a strawberry cream cheese frosting. Do I need to mention the cherry and sprinkles?

Musketeer Cake

This cake was for a triple birthday. We have an almond cake with mandarin filling and a musketeer-whipped cream frosting.

I know, I have posted this kind of cake before, but it is just so pretty that I think we can see it again. This one is a lemon pound cake, with lemon mouse filling, and a lemon cream cheese frosting.

Babyshowers

It was a busy week for baby showers. Here are two of the cakes. First we have a Hannchen Jensen Cake with chocolate pieces. A lady from German school wanted something German. From all I heart there were no leftovers.

The second one is a chocolate cake with a vanilla mousse filling. And yes, it is a girl (well, I don't know, but they ordered pink).

Halloween 2009

My kids are not ready for really gory cakes. So here is a kid friendly Halloween Cake. Two layers of chocolate cake with cookies-and-cream filling.

Yu-gi-oh Cake

Slowly I am working my way through the games. After Pokemon and Viva Pinata we finally have a Yu-gi-oh Cake. The pyramid is made with alternating layers of chocolate and vanilla cake. The sign is made from chocolate.
